Click&Boat announces a significant investment from the investment company Permira, alongside Boats Group.
New funding round for Click&Boat, the amount of which is not disclosed. Thanks to this financial package involving Permira and Boats Group, the French boat rental platform will also have access to users of its American alter ego Boats Group. This allows it to open up to the “vast sector of boat rental in North America”, explains a press release.
The Franco-American tandem wishes to “create the largest digital world player in the yachting sector”, it is added.
Boats Group is owned by Permira
Founded in 2014 and based in France, Click&Boat connects boating enthusiasts with more than 40,000 boats for rent in 600 destinations around the world. “We are counting on a business volume of 100 million euros in 2021, twice as much as in 2020,” co-founder Jérémy Bismuth told us recently .
Already owned by Permira, Boats Group is based in Miami, Florida, with headquarters in Fareham, England, and offices in Padova, Italy, and Barcelona, Spain.
