L’Echo touristique publishes, exclusively, the list of the 10 travel brands that attracted the greatest number of French Internet users in July 2021.
It has become a habit: Booking.com tops the exclusive list of Médiamétrie for L’Echo touristique. The leader in hotel reservations posted more than 12 million visits in July 2021. That is as many as in July 2019 – before the health crisis – a sign of a sustained recovery.
Still in terms of audience, TripAdvisor is on the second step, proving the importance of consulting reviews during the summer period. The recommendations specialist arrived, a year earlier, on the third step.
In July 2021, Oui.sncf closes the podium. The online agency specializing in the distribution of train tickets thus loses a place.
Leboncoin Holidays losing momentum?
On the heels of 10 million visits, against nearly 11 million in July 2019, the Californian group specializing in Airbnb seasonal rentals remains in fourth place. Its traffic is four times greater than that of its competitor Abritel (2.655 million visits).
The following travel brands in the ranking are all below the five million visit mark: Blablacar (4.8 million), Air France (4 million), Easyvoyage and Kayak (both tied, with 3 .4 million visits).
The Médiamétrie prize list for Echo tourisme confirms the power of foreign pure players, in particular specialist accommodation platforms. Note, however, that Leboncoin Vacances (Norwegian group Adevinta) is leaving the top 10. The platform specializing in seasonal rentals has an audience of 3.7 million visits, compared to 3.1 million a year earlier when it was ranked 7th .
