All destinations combined, travel sales made by physical and online agencies fell by 6% in October 2022 compared to October 2019, according to the Orchestra Barometer for L’Echo touristique . The situation has therefore deteriorated compared to September (+4%), August (+10%) and July (+3%).
At the same time, inflation continued. Last month, the average basket increased for 18 top 20 destinations, sometimes sharply. In other words, in number of customers, the decline in activity greatly exceeds 6%.
In terms of destinations, as the ski season approaches, mainland France comes out on top, despite a 28% drop in business volume. In France, the average basket jumped 27%.

In very strong growth (+61%), Spain is positioned in second position, ahead of the Dominican Republic (+12%).
Tunisia, Egypt and Morocco follow and thus regain the places they occupied before the health crisis.
Among the strong growth in October are Tanzania, Guadeloupe and Finland.
