Booking Holdings: solid performance in 2021

If the American group has not regained the level of activity of 2019, it is slowly approaching it.

The global travel giant has just published its financial results for the past year. Booking Holdings, parent company of the Booking.com hotel platform, posted revenue of $11 billion in 2021 (+61% vs. 2020), compared to $15.1 billion in 2019. Its business volume, corresponding to travel bookings amounted to $76.6 billion, compared to $96.4 billion in 2019.

A net profit of 1.2 billion dollars

The group is largely profitable. Its net income was $1.2 billion, compared to $59 million in 2020.

Despite the pandemic that has plagued its business for two years, Booking Holdings has continued its investment strategy. Its marketing spend hit $3.8 billion last year, up from $2.2 billion a year earlier.
