The platform specializing in home exchange launches HomeExchange Collection, a community dedicated to high-end housing.
“We created this club for owners of high-end accommodation who had previously received too many messages, or had difficulty finding a property equivalent to theirs”, explains Charles-Edouard Girard, co-founder of the platform. Objective: to simplify their lives by designing a secure online platform, with certified vacation spots.
Penthouses, castles, yachts
The “HomeExchange Collection” project was launched in minor mode at the end of 2021, to test and refine it. Today, this private VIP club brings together 300 luxury homes and apartments in 35 countries. So many penthouses, villas and castles owned by fashion designers, consultants and other architects.
“About 50% of housing is located in the United States, 10% in France, 8% in Canada, adds Charles-Edouard Girard. These are properties that could be rented for around 3,000 to 10,000 euros per week, ”he adds. With one difference: on HomeExchange, they are exchanged. Club members must nevertheless pay a subscription of 850 euros per month, which covers the management costs of this new community, the creation of a dedicated team, extended guarantees (up to $2M).
Objective: 1,000 homes by the end of 2022
If a member wishes to lend his house without reciprocity, the guest can offer GuestPoints in exchange, which will be used to in turn be welcomed as a guest in another prestigious house at a later date. GuestPoints are used as a currency of exchange.
HomeExchange is counting on the official launch of the “Collection” to attract new owners. “The concept is very popular. We hope to increase to 1,000 homes by the end of 2022, then 5,000 to 10,000 within three years. Which will then represent a tiny part of the inventory. In total, the world leader in home exchanges brings together more than 450,000 properties.
