he young tricolor brand of seasonal rentals is operated, in white label, by Camping-and-co.com.
“Why leave part of the cost of booking a French vacationer and host to an American company? asks Guillaume Patrizi, founder of Camping-and-co.com, in a press release. This is how he motivated the launch of TripandCo.com, the new name of Location-et-Vacances.com.
“TripandCo.com keeps the classified ads for individuals from Location-et-Vacances.com, and adds the possibility for professionals to put their professional property up for sale”, explains Guillaume Patrizi. “Camping-and-co.com will operate as a white label all the OTA part – online agency and central reservations – of TripandCo.com”, he adds.
Created in 2005, and little known on the French market, Location-et-Vacances.com hitherto topped 7,000 seasonal rental advertisements.
Lowest Price Guarantee
TripandCo.com, which belongs to Web Emeraude, now offers stays under an official travel agent license and thus undertakes to assist the traveler in the event of problems.
The platform offers other interesting guarantees: the best price (with reimbursement of the difference if customers find their stay cheaper elsewhere), payment in three instalments free of charge, free cancellation on D-30 on most stays .
It relies on the Saint-Malo-based customer service of Camping-and-co.com, whose team of 30 professionals is therefore no longer dependent on the spring-summer camping season alone.
Also, campsites
The synergies go even further. TripandCo.com repatriates the offers of Camping-and-co.com, a site that has continued to grow since 2012. Thus, the young platform aggregates more than 10,000 properties in total. In detail, the Internet user draws from 7,000 private homes, 300 tourist residences and holiday villages, 3,500 campsite accommodations.
Guillaume Patrizi is betting in particular on the tricolor preference to differentiate himself from Airbnb and other Abritel. “Consuming French is a responsible act,” he insists. “By choosing TripandCo.com, customers know that all employees are based in France and that the company pays its taxes in France. We think it is important to raise awareness of this autonomy, of this French consumption,” says the founder of Camping-and-co.com, which announces 15 million euros in business volume in 2021.
