Organized at the initiative of the Agence Savoie Mont Blanc (ASM), the #DemainSavoieMontBlanc operation aims to “guarantee a tourist economy with positive impacts”.
Nearly 300 participants, from eleven mountain territories, gathered during twenty-six workshops: the first part of the #DemainSavoieMontBlanc operation, organized since last year, has delivered its conclusions. This major field survey, which aims to “guarantee a tourist economy with positive impacts” in the mountains, has even given rise to the drafting of a white paper.
Three themes were identified by the speakers: the territory, pioneer of innovation; the mountain, a destination for the future and a territory to live and share. In each area, several lines of work have been advanced: decarbonizing mobility, empowering visitors, winning back young customers, balancing relations with residents, etc.
Towards “a new shared vision” of alpine tourism
In addition, #DemainSavoieMontBlanc will be extended by the creation of a Mountain Collective”. Federated around a tight steering committee around players in the field, the members of this body will be appointed following meetings organized in October for a first high point in the fall.
“Led by the Agence Savoie Mont Blanc, the Mountain Collective will aim to bring out a new shared vision of alpine tourism, by supporting its concrete deployment in the territories”, specifies Christelle Ferrière, the deputy general manager of the ASM.
