The body for promoting France abroad wants to accelerate the sustainable and digital transformation of the French tourist offer.
Atout France has just launched three calls for expressions of interest, in sustainable tourism, overseas accommodation, digitalization, according to a press release.
The calls focus on three different themes. In terms of sustainable tourism, first of all, Atout France wants to “facilitate the deployment of exemplary projects and initiatives capable of strengthening the sustainable positioning of the French tourist offer in each region”. Many fields are thus concerned: from accommodation to cultural and leisure activities, including mobility, catering and events.
More sustainable accommodation overseas
These themes focus “both on the environmental, inclusive and economic dimension” and “fully echo the strategic orientations of the Destination France plan” according to Atout France. Candidates interested in this theme can send their projects to: investments-durables@atout-france.fr before September 30, 2022 at midnight.
A second call for projects concerns the supply of accommodation overseas. Its objective is “to support the revitalization of accommodation offers to accelerate recovery”. This call “aims to accelerate the sustainable transformation of tourist accommodation in overseas destinations by relying in particular on the new hotel classification benchmark”. Interested candidates can send their projects to: hebergements-outremer@atout-france.fr before September 30, 2022, at midnight.
90% of holiday purchases made online
Finally, Atout France is interested in the digitization of destinations and wants to “strengthen the digital marketing know-how of territorial networks”. A crucial subject, while 90% of purchases of tourist stays are made on the Internet, according to the promotional body.
“This call is aimed at territorial networks wishing to strengthen the digital marketing professionalization paths of their members and initiate short-term collective digital marketing actions in international markets”, specifies Atout France.
Each candidate network will have to mobilize at least fifteen destinations wishing to participate in the program. Candidate networks can send their projects to: destinations-digitales@atout-france.fr before September 30, 2022 at midnight.
