The travel agency specializing in sailing cruises GlobeSailor offers itself Coolsailing.
On the occasion of the Paris Boat Show, GlobeSailor announces the acquisition of the boat rental company Coolsailing from the Skiset group.
Created more than 20 years ago, Coolsailing specializes in the rental of sailboats with or without skipper, in 80 destinations. The company also offers seminars in the Mediterranean. Its management claims 4,000 customers and a turnover of more than 2 million euros per year.
Skiset refocuses on skiing
In 2014, Skiset completed the acquisition of Coolsailing with the aim of diversifying its winter ski rental business. The group now wishes to “refocus, following the pandemic, on its core business, ski rental”, explains a press release.
“Despite the pandemic, yachting represents an attractive stay offer, especially for new customers who want to experience an alternative type of vacation, without traveling to the other side of the world”, explains Olivier Albahary, founder of GlobeSailor.
