Travel sales remained in good shape in the agencies in June, according to the barometer produced by Orchestra for L’Echo touristique.
All destinations combined, travel sales made by physical and online agencies increased by 29% in June 2022 compared to June 2019, according to the Orchestra Barometer for L’Echo touristique. This is a little less than in May (+46%), but more than in April 2022 (+18%). The phenomenon of Revenge Travel continues despite inflation and sometimes high airfares.
Spain (+88%) prances in the lead, and passes in front of Greece (+68%). France follows, despite a poor performance compared to all destinations (-10%).
As for Tunisia, Turkey and Morocco, they confirm their recovery which began in the spring.
The Dom Rep leads the long-haul
Representing 14% of overall agency sales, long-haul remains down compared to June 2019 (20%).
Dominican Republic, Mauritius and Tanzania are still doing well. On the other hand, the United States, Dubai and Asia are not doing well. Thailand is in 20th place.
