The Evaneos incoming platform shares some booking trends for summer 2022.
After two rocky years, Evaneos sees a promising summer, given the booking trends covering the June-September 2022 period.
Unsurprisingly, Southern Europe is a hit. Greece, Italy and the United States topped international booking requests on the French platform of local agencies. In France, Corsica, Brittany and Auvergne Rhône Alpes are the regions most in demand. France was, before the pandemic, more marginal in terms of business demand.
A younger clientele
Across all destinations, the average length of stay has fallen from 12 days in 2021 to 14 days in 2022. more important to their holidays, comments Evaneos. Thus, the average basket has also increased, from 4,987 euros in 2021 to 7,144 euros for the summer of 2022.
The increase in the budget is also explained by a significant change in clientele, assures the platform. Groups of friends and families with young children represent Evaneos’ main clientele for this summer (22% of total reservations vs 15% in 2021). In 2021 the majority of bookings were made by couples over 50 (27% in 2021 vs 21% in 2022).
