Sustainable tourism: Atout France and ATD will launch self-diagnosis tools

The two structures have signed a partnership to strengthen their means of action in favor of the transition of the tourism sector in France.

On the occasion of the Universities of Sustainable Tourism, Atout France and Actors of Sustainable Tourism (ATD) signed a partnership agreement in order to strengthen their means of action in favor of the transition of the sector, and to “enable France to achieve its ambition of becoming a global reference in sustainable tourism”.

The agreement covers the next three years, and provides for the implementation of various tools made available to French tourism professionals, whether public or private. The two parties will in particular design the first “national sustainable tourism dashboard”, a management tool which will make it possible to “structure new social, environmental and societal indicators”, in line with the Destination France plan .

A resource center in the making

The agreement also provides for the creation of a free self-diagnosis tool, which will allow everyone to assess themselves in order to adapt their future transition process. “The ambition also consists in creating a collective distinction approach on a national scale reinforcing the sustainable positioning of the France destination”, specifies a press release.

Finally, a resource center will be created to facilitate access for businesses and destinations to useful information. Regular analyzes of the sensitivity of French and international customers to the interest in sustainable tourism, promotion of good practices and training will feed this resource center, which will, again, be accessible to all.
